About Scanlooks

Scanlooks is a free, browser-based tool that makes a clean PDF, JPG, or PNG look like it came straight out of a real scanner — brightness variance, subtle rotation, grain, and paper texture included.

Sometimes you need a document to look scanned: matching an existing paper trail, prototyping a design that calls for a “scanned” look, or just turning a digital file into something that reads as physical. Rather than printing a document and running it through an actual scanner, Scanlooks applies that same visual effect directly in your browser.

Built privacy-first

Scanlooks runs entirely client-side. Your file is loaded into your browser, processed on an HTML canvas using JavaScript, and never uploaded anywhere. There’s no server storing your documents, no account to create, and no tracking of what you upload — because we simply never see it.
